Platoon Leaders — Living Waters 2026

Your Role & Responsibilities

You have been trusted to lead. Here is what that means.

Section 1

Your Calling

Being a platoon leader at CAET Student Camp is more than a title. It is a calling to serve with humility, represent your platoon with excellence, and create an environment where every member of your group feels safe, included, and inspired. The camp commandant and leadership team are counting on you.

Section 2

Your Responsibilities

🧑‍🤝‍🧑
01

Know Your Members

Know every member of your platoon by name. Check in on them regularly. Be aware of who is present and who is missing at all times.

02

Ensure Punctuality

Your platoon should be the first to arrive at sessions, not the last. Rally your members before each session and lead them to the venue on time.

🍽
03

Coordinate Feeding

Feeding is platoon-based. Ensure your members know their feeding time and location. Lead them orderly to the feeding area and ensure no one is left out.

📋
04

Execute Tasks Promptly

Tasks from the camp commandant will be assigned via the Platoon Leader Portal. Check your portal regularly, acknowledge tasks, and report back once completed.

🏷
05

ID Tag Compliance

Ensure every member of your platoon wears their ID tag at all times. Report any lost tags to camp officials immediately.

🚫
06

No Roaming Policy

During programme sessions, ensure all your members are in their assigned sessions. If any member is unaccounted for, escalate to a camp official immediately.

🛐
07

Spiritual Leadership

Lead your platoon in morning devotion where applicable. Encourage participation in all spiritual activities. Be an example of the faith and character CAET represents.

📢
08

Communication Bridge

You are the link between the camp leadership and your platoon members. Relay information from the commandant promptly and accurately. Escalate concerns from your members upward.

🆘
09

Emergency Escalation

In any emergency — medical, security, or pastoral — escalate immediately to the camp commandant or a senior camp official. Do not handle emergencies alone.

🤝
10

Lead by Example

The rules that apply to campers apply to you too — dress code, punctuality, session attendance, ID tags. You cannot enforce what you do not model.

Section 3

Your Platoon Leader Portal

The Platoon Leader Portal is your command centre during camp. Log in at students.caetnigeria.org/platoon-login using your registration code and last name.

Section 4

Contact & Escalation

If you have questions or need support during camp, speak to the Camp Commandant or any member of the senior leadership team. You are not alone in this.
